- Memorîzu (Memories): Magnetic Rose, Kôji Morimoto 1995 (Part 1 of a triptych)  Based on the manga short story by Katsuhiro Otomo *Satoshi Kon is often wrongly credited as the director of this film - which I believe is mostly because the animation is reminiscent of his own animation style; and the psychological theme on which the film focuses, also one of the late director’s forte. He is involved in this production though, but as a screenplay writer.
